Hi,

I am ABC Mama, welcome to Alphabet Soup!

I am currently a stay-at-home a mom of two. I always have a lot on my mind so I started this blog. I spend my days managing what I lovingly call the "crazy" in my house.

My blog is called "Alphabet Soup" because I have an ABC family. Every one of us has a condition (or 2) known by its abbreviation, PTSD, SPD, ADHD, OCD, LD etc. As a family, we have lots of letters! We are not your average healthy, active, happy-go-lucky family. Our conditions do not define us, but they do impact our family life daily. Our life is full of struggles but also full of joy. Throw it all together and you get our Alphabet Soup.

My background is in Healthcare Administration, Health Insurance regulatory compliance and patient advocacy. My Bachelor of Science degree is in Healthcare Administration with a minor in Business and a concentration on Psychology.

My background and education have helped me immensely in navigating the ins and outs of life as the mother of children with ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Learning Disabilities, a spouse with Combat PTSD, and my own autoimmune chronic illness. I have done much research on Special Needs Education issues and Veteran's issues. I have a knack for finding information and am always happy to assist others. Just ask!

I am new to blogging, but learning and growing every day. I am fascinated by the possibilities blogging offers. I intend to use this blog to inform other parents and families of family friendly, quality, products, services and resources.
